Overview

The role of the lab intern is to offer support to the quality team to ensure the accurate and timely analysis and disposition of raw materials and manufactured products in accordance with PepsiCo standards and procedures. The lab intern will play an important role within the team and should have the following qualities:
* Good organizational, planning and project management skills.
* Excellent documentation management skills.
* Self-starter, self-motivated, able to deal with uncertainty and complexity.
* Good interpersonal skills with ability to influence vertically & horizontally.
* Good people skills - works well in a team environment.
* Good analytical skills: ability to analyse technical data and translate information to solving problems.

Responsibilities

* Comply with Confidentiality Policy.
* Become familiar with the material/product portfolio.
* Registering QC samples in the laboratory management systems accurately.
* Meticulous attention to sample data entry and preparation.
* Prepare all production, delivery, and issue samples in a timely manner.
* Ensure timely and effective issue resolution and communication.
* Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment as required.
* Maintain all relevant records and samples in an organised system for quick and effective access to information with a particular focus on traceability.
* Adhere to safe lab practices and GLP.
* Organise the replenishment of relevant laboratory supplies.
* Flexible regarding priority changes.
* Support the quality analyst with troubleshooting issues.
* A requirement of this role is that all PepsiCo Health and Safety requirements are adhered to.
Qualifications

* Qualification in engineering or any science stream (desired - materials, packaging, chemistry, or food discipline).
* Knowledge and technical understanding of quality and food safety would be ideal.
* Capable of planning, executing, and delivering projects within specified time frames.
* Fluent PC skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
