The Fulfilment tech family boosts service in Southeast Asia using real-time systems and machine learning to process millions of requests daily. Their mission is to enhance driver partner experiences, increase service adoption, improve efficiency, and ensure reliable order fulfillment. The Allocation team matches drivers with orders to improve booking reliability, offering solutions like priority allocation and swaps.
Get to Know the Role
You will work with the engineering team in developing backend services. You will be provided with hands-on experience in backend system architecture and development, and to create scalable and efficient solutions.
This is a paid internship and role is based on-site in Petaling Jaya office.
The Critical Tasks You Will Perform
* You will design and write using the latest Go language to enhance Grab's service availability, scalability, latency, and efficiency.
* You will collaborate with the infrastructure team to build backend services, conducting root cause analysis.
* You will work with engineering teams to develop new designs and architectures for improved scale and performance.
* You will participate in code and design reviews to uphold high development standards and help troubleshoot backend issues

Qualifications
What Essential Skills You Will Need
* Only for candidates who are available to start in July 2025.
* Your studies as an Undergraduate in Software Engineering or Computer Science.
* Proficient in at least one programming language such as Golang, C++, C, C#, Java, Python, and willing to work on Golang.
* You have an ability to structure data and write algorithms.
* Knowledge in database management systems (e.g. MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
* Proficiency in CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab)
* Experience deploying code in AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud environments
