To support the teams working on our exciting projects, we are looking for Intern/Associate Consultant Data Science

This opportunity offers a unique entry into Consulting as a Data Science Intern, particularly focusing on the use of Large Language Models (LLMs) and Natural Language Processing (NLP) in our UK and Netherlands projects.

How You Will Create An Impact

* You will be an integral part of project teams driving top-line growth for clients, mainly across UK and Netherlands projects.
* Responsible for the core stages of model development, including: Data wrangling and pre-processing Machine learning model development, testing, and implementation.
* You will analyze and communicate data insights to project teams to support strategic decision-making.
* The internship offers an opportunity to learn about commercial strategy consulting in a practical, project-based environment.
* Top-performing interns may be offered an entry-level Data Scientist position after completion of the internship.

About You

* You have completed both your VWO and bachelor's degree with above-average study results in a quantitative field, such as computer science, engineering, statistics, operational research, data science, or equivalent experience.
* Deep knowledge of Machine Learning, statistical modelling, and NLP techniques.
* Strong programming skills in R and/or Python, with experience in NLP libraries and frameworks.
* Exceptional communication skills to effectively convey complex data insights.
* High percentile numerical, deductive, and inductive reasoning skills.
* A strong desire to work in a fast-paced, commercially agile environment.
* A keen interest in commercial strategy and a desire to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
* Strong enthusiasm, curiosity, and a commitment to achieving the best outcomes.

Internships within the Data Science team usually last around 4 to 6 months and are designed to expose individuals to working on client projects. Interns can expect responsibility from the outset as a valued member of the project team. Throughout your time at Simon-Kucher, you will contribute to analysis and results and can benefit from working alongside experienced Consultants, Directors, and Partners.

To be eligible for the internship, you must be enrolled at a university and able to work from our Amsterdam office during the internship period.
