Internship Start Dates across the year:
* We are hiring interns to start anytime from January through September 2026. Each month, we'll hold 1-2 onboarding days for new hires.

Key job responsibilities
Amazon is looking for ambitious, curious and versatile candidates to join our unique world as interns. An Amazon internship will provide you with an unforgettable experience in a fast-paced, dynamic and international environment; it will boost your resume and will provide a superb introduction to our activities.
- Familiarize and help with the organization and processes for new launches
- Assist the Safety New Build Manager and the Safety Engineer in delivering safety excellent processes and operations
- Support safety process systems through participation in planned inspections of buildings, machines and jobs for accident prevention
- Perform and update Risk Assessments and Job Hazard Analyses
- Analyse accident data and develop programmes and initiatives to ensure prevention of accidents
- Supporting investigations linked to accidents and identify preventive safety measures for incorporation into the safety program
- Help to develop safety procedures and implement training programs to meet the needs of Managers and Associates regarding critical safety issues
- Potential relocation to the designated work location

A day in the life
As a Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) Intern, you will be a passionate advocate for creating and delivering safe working environments. You must have excellent analytical, organizational and interpersonal skills, be an effective communicator, have a high sense of (internal) customer service and be able to work with cross-functional teams including Senior Management.

About the team
WHS plays a crucial role in keeping our people mentally and physically well at work. Our team works with managers, associates and local governments across our sites, making sure we're complying with Amazon's policies and legal regulations, and that our workplaces are safe.

There is a range of opportunities within the team, from Health and Safety Technicians to Programme Managers. No matter what your role is, you'll play a part in developing, implementing and upholding our high safety and wellbeing standards. You could work on a variety of projects alongside colleagues from across the business, ranging from equipment and process inspections to assessing processes, building and equipment design. This position will offer exposure to different business verticals such Operations, Human Resources, Legal, Loss Prevention, Process Engineering, Finance, and Engineering within one of the world's leading supply chain companies

Candidate Requirements:

- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree with an expected completion date between June 2026 and August 2027
- Eligible to complete a full-time internship of 3-6 months
- Working towards a degree in Health Science, Safety Engineering, Health & Safety, Safety Management, or related field.
- Interest in or previous experience in safety related employment
- Strong communication skills; ability to comfortably interact with and influence stakeholders
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products: Excel, Project, Vizio and Outlook
- Strong analytical skills with demonstrated problem solving ability
- Proven technical guidance for large-scale safety projects
- Ability to adapt well to fast-paced environments with changing circumstances, direction, and strategy
- Exposure to Six Sigma, Lean manufacturing efforts, transportation/logistics and/or fulfilment/distribution centres
