Job Description:

Your Team

We are the Project Leader and Modeling & Simulation (PLMS) teams and drive the development of novel biologics drugs forward with a lot of passion and commitment. We are currently a department of about 60 people in Pharma Research and Early Development, including three PhD students, two PostDocs, and one intern. We work closely with other related departments, such as pathology. We are the experts when it comes to assessing the pharmacokinetics, -dynamics, and nonclinical safety of drug candidates. We like to go an extra mile, supporting projects from inception all the way to filing, but there is also space for fun and laughs in day-to-day life. We have an "us" culture and we balance our work with continuous personal growth and team development.

Your tasks

* Do you want to work with us to better understand what our nonclinical safety data tells us about how to optimize nonclinical safety study design? You will help us look at data that has been generated nonclinically, and leverage this knowledge to inform on future study design.
* Are you interested in learning more about the impact of nonclinical safety in drug development
* You know that the team is greater than the sum of its parts? Hone your collaboration skills to bring together knowledge and expertise from other data science interns and within the greater (COMPANY NAME) community to learn broader data analytics applications in drug development
* Do you have good ideas? We want to hear them!

Your profile

* You are passionate about drug development
* You are currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or preferably Master's degree program, or have recently graduated (within the last 12 months) in toxicology, or with a biology background
* You would like to bring in and expand your experience in this area and contribute to writing a publication.
* You are proficient in English and not afraid of interacting with colleagues in our (COMPANY NAME) Innovation Center in Basel/Switzerland
* You are entrepreneurial and have a positive mindset and a can-do mentality!

Your Benefits

* Your development is important to us: that's why we attach great importance to you being able to work on a variety of tasks and always learn something new.
* In order to support your development, you have regular exchanges and feedback with your internship supervisors.
* In our team, you take on responsibility and actively support us in improving our biomedical understanding.
* We are living in 2022: you can flexibly schedule your working hours and do home office.
* Of course, once the pandemic situation has improved, you have access to facilities and services at the Basel campus, such as the employee canteens, swimming pool, gym, and much more!

Quite simple: please submit your CV online! For now we do not need further documents, such as letters of motivation or certificates. We look forward to your application!

Due to regulations non-EU/EFTA citizens must provide a certificate from the university stating that an internship is mandatory as part of the application.

Please note that this internship is aimed at students who are enrolled at a University or alternatively in a gap year between Bachelor's and Master's studies, or have recently graduated (within the last 12 months). The start is around early 2022 for a period of up to 6 months.
