(COMPANY NAME), we have many opportunities to work with data each and every day. In this role as a Business Intelligence Engineer Intern on the Supply Chain Analytics team, your primary responsibility will be to partner with key stakeholders, data engineers, data scientists and analysts to support and enable scaling (COMPANY NAME)'s Infrastructure Data Center Supply Chain. You will be responsible for creating the technology that moves and translates data used to inform our most critical strategic and operational decisions. You will also help translate business needs into requirements and identify efficiency opportunities. In addition to querying and visualizing data, you will be expected to use your expertise and provide meaningful recommendations and actionable strategies to partnering data engineers for performance enhancements and development of best BI practices, including streamlining of data sources and defining metrics. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working in white space and creating impact from the ground up in a fast-paced environment. This position is part of the Infrastructure Supply Chain team.

Business Intelligence Engineer, Intern Responsibilities

*

Lead development of multiple BI projects with business stakeholders

*

Manage task assignments for team of supporting contractors to ensure project success

*

Work with Data Science, Data Engineers to define BI strategy and engagement models

*

Build business intelligence solutions that balance high-performance and usability

*

Design, build and launch reliable dashboards that provide insights across cross-functional global teams

*

Manage security and privacy standards for the BI solutions through administrative responsibilities

*

Intelligently design visualizations that focus on usability and ease of interpretation

*

Deploy inclusive data quality checks to ensure high quality of dashboards

*

Enhance existing dashboards and maintain all domain-related dashboards

*

Collaboration with the Supply Chain SMEs, Data Scientists, Data Engineers and Program Managers to define metrics

*

Communicate progress, risks, and completion of projects to stakeholders

Minimum Qualifications

*

Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining, a Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, or Interdisciplinary programs including the above disciplines

*

Experience with SQL (Oracle, MySQL)

*

Experience with Python

*

Knowledge of data modeling concepts and experience accessing data from data warehouses

*

Hands-on experience working with medium to large datasets (i.e. data extraction, cleaning, analysis, and automating/scheduling data pipelines)

*

Experience with data visualization software (e.g. Tableau)

*

Must obtain work authorization in the country of employment at the time of hire and maintain ongoing work authorization during employment

Curious, self-driven, analytical and excited to play with data

Ability to thrive in a fast paced work environment

*

Intent to return to degree-program after the completion of the internship/co-op
