Engineering Intern

Job Description:

Overall responsibilities and duties:

An Engineering Intern will support the engineering team in a variety of departments, including (but not limited to) concept engineering, PPV, customer engineering and Program team. The intern will function to complete engineering deliverables as defined by the functional manager.
The main missions of the role are:

* Support execution of engineering changes
* Learns how to produce/develop processes for production environment's
* Assists with alternative solutions
* Maintain strong familiarity with customer CAD/BOM & the integrity
* Completes all assignments with the prescribed schedules
* Search and propose improvements to optimize our process/flows
* Assist (COMPANY NAME) Excellence Team on layout changes and lean manufacturing tools deployment
* Help production Team Leaders and Supervisors to identify and solve their production issues

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have/be:

Minimum education level: Working towards a degree in Business, Engineering or related field

Experience:

* Minimum 3.0/4.0 GPA
* Sophomore, Junior, Senior status

Skills and competencies:

* Production/process/lean manufacturing experience would be a plus
* Experience on 2D/3D design, at least 2D (AutoCAD, CAD)
* Continuous improvement mindset
* Problem diagnosis and analytic skills
* Results oriented with strong written and oral communication skills
* Ability to work in a matrixed organization
* Self-sufficient
