Job Description:
JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Role
This is not a typical field service role.
We are looking for a highly adaptable, hands-on Service Engineer to support advanced Electrophysiology capital equipment across Italy and Emerging Markets, with additional exposure across the wider EMEA region.
If you enjoy working in different countries, solving complex problems under pressure, and being where you're needed most - this role offers a unique opportunity to operate at the heart of a truly international service organisation.
What Makes This Role Different
This is a reactive, SLA-driven service environment.
* Customer systems are critical - when they go down, you respond
* Plans will change - often at short notice
* Preventative maintenance may be interrupted or rescheduled
* Travel can be dynamic, last-minute, and cross-border
We are looking for someone who thrives in that reality - not someone who needs a structured, predictable week.
Your Region
* Primary focus: Italy & Emerging Markets
* Flexible workload split depending on demand)
* Secondary responsibility: support across wider EMEA
You will be part of a collaborative EMEA team, stepping in wherever support is needed.
What You'll Be Doing
* Installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting advanced EP medical systems
* Supporting hardware, software, and hospital IT/network connectivity
* Scheduling planned PM work whilst also ready to respond to urgent break/fix situations within SLA timelines
* Reprioritising your workload based on customer-critical needs
* Travelling extensively (70%+) across multiple countries
* Working closely with clinical, commercial, and technical teams across the region
What We're Looking For
Mindset (Most Important)
* You stay calm and effective when plans change
* You enjoy problem-solving in unpredictable environments
* You take ownership and act quickly when customers need support
* You are comfortable working with limited planning and short notice travel
* You see disruption as part of the role - not a frustration
Experience & Skills
* Field service experience (medical devices preferred, but not essential)
* Strong technical skills (electronics, IT, networking)
* Confident working in hospital or clinical environments
* Ability to troubleshoot under pressure
Languages
* Italian and English required
* Additional European languages are a strong advantage
Travel & Location
* Based in Milan or surrounding area (close to a major airport preferred)
* High travel role (70%+)
* Regular international travel across Italy, Emerging Markets, and EMEA
* Expect short-notice travel and dynamic scheduling
Who This Role Is Perfect For
* Engineers who enjoy variety, travel and international exposure
* People who thrive under pressure and like solving urgent problems
* Self-starters who don't need rigid structure to perform
* Individuals motivated by customer impact and critical response
Who This Role Is NOT For
* Those who prefer highly structured, predictable schedules
* Those who struggle with frequent changes in plans
* Those who require long lead times for travel and planning
Why Join Us
* Work on cutting-edge medical technology
* Be part of a highly skilled, international team
* Gain exposure across multiple countries and healthcare systems
* Play a critical role in patient-impacting technology uptime
