Role: R&D PC Assistant

Function: R&D
WL: WL1C
Reports to: Alan Castillo
Scope: Regional
Location: Cuernavaca, Hybrid Position

Main Purpose of the Job

Drive and lead the implementation of innovation and non-innovation projects for PC business.
Lead R&D activities and, eventually, other tasks related to full product development. Flexibility and versatility are key requirements.
This position is based in Mexico with a regional scope, supporting and leading projects mainly for Mexico and North Latam.

Main Accountabilities

Within Unilever:
* Drive packaging actions to deliver OTIF innovation portfolio, margin improvement, Secure Supply (SS), and simplification projects.
* Project networking and follow-up with global and regional teams.
* Direct contact with Supply Chain for proper project deployment.
* Coordinate and support factory tests, including pack trials.
* Manage primary and secondary packaging specifications, pallet patterns, and packaging tests.
* Perform and evaluate stability and compatibility tests.
* Run packaging material validation tests (e.g., mould components, labels).
* Run formula validation tests.
* Conduct full product distribution tests (e.g., transit test, drop test).
* Create packaging specifications.
* Artwork approval.
* Direct contact with global, cluster, and local teams.
Outside Unilever:
* Direct contact with packaging material suppliers, third parties, co-packers, and technical institutes.

* English - Fluent spoken and written (mandatory)
* Minimum 1-2 years of experience in similar positions or in packaging materials development/manufacturing (desirable)
* Minimum 1 year in mass consumer goods manufacturing company (or similar) in related positions such as R&D, Supply Chain, Quality, Procurement, Planning
