About the role

Reporting to the Europe Quality Supply Chain (QSC) BU Finance Partner, the Quality Supply Chain BU Finance Analyst role's primary aim is to support the management of E2E supply chain costs and Inventory across 5 European Business Units ensuring adherence to budget, delivery of productivity savings and identifying opportunities for value improvements within the EU region.

Key responsibilities
* Support the Business Units (BUs) with the financial management, planning and forecasting of Inventory Write-off, Inbound freight, 'Other' COGS, Warehousing & last-mile Distribution and associated Admin Costs.
* Analysis of monthly financial performance and key variances to forecast/plan and risks and opportunities thereto.
* Support BU QSC teams in managing risks and maintain an environment of open engagement between LOC QSC teams and LOC Finance teams.
* Act as Market advocate for Trading Partner processes and connect markets with Trading Partners for the benefit of accurate reporting of inventory, repacking variances, and other ad-hoc allocations.
* Act as BU advocate with centralised freight reporting teams for the benefit of improved accuracy and management of inbound freight charges.
* Be an SME for BUs on inbound freight matters.
* Partner BU QSC teams in identifying and development of value driving initiatives across all end-to-end costs. Monitor and loop-back financial delivery of such projects and other on-going Continuous Improvement initiatives.
* Monitor and review of ICFW compliance for inventory activities within BUs.
* Support the Inventory Governance forum with understanding key drivers of adherence to plan and forecast, and delivery of inventory improvement initiatives.
* Ad-hoc projects.

Qualifications and skills

Essential
* Able to understand the commercial and financial impact of decisions.
* Proficient financial knowledge of modeling, analysis, evaluation, and forecasting. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail with the ability to gather and analyse internal & external data from a wide range of sources to drive commercial insight.
* Good interpersonal skills demonstrated by creation of a network of key partners within Finance and the business and the ability to bridge communications gap between finance and non-finance.
* Ability to effectively manage multiple and sometimes conflicting priorities.
* Excellent Excel skills.
* Finance/business degree and/or professional accountancy; part qualified will also be eligible depending on level of experience.

Preferred
* Experience working in cross-functional teams and across a matrixed environment.
* Experience of supply chain operations (inside or outside of the finance profession).
