About the role:

The CEE Medical Cluster Lead is the driving force behind the successful deployment of Haleon's Medical & Scientific Affairs ambitions across Central and Eastern Europe. As a key member of the Europe Medical organisation, the role connects global strategy with local execution, ensuring that trusted science translates into meaningful impact for consumers, healthcare professionals, and the business.
Partnering closely with commercial, regulatory, and external stakeholders, the Cluster Lead champions scientific excellence, compliance, and innovation while capturing local insights that help inform and shape future medical and business priorities across Europe.

Role Responsibilities:

Medical Strategy Execution & Business Partnership
* Lead the translation and execution of Haleon's Europe Medical & Scientific Affairs strategy across the CEE cluster, ensuring delivery against regional priorities while addressing local market needs.
* Drive the successful implementation of category medical plans (OTC, Oral Health, and Wellness), enabling launch excellence, lifecycle growth, and sustainable competitive advantage.
* Serve as the trusted medical partner to Cluster Commercial Leadership, providing strategic scientific guidance that supports confident, compliant, and consumer-focused decision-making.
* Ensure medical activities deliver measurable business impact while maintaining Haleon's commitment to Trusted Science and patient-centricity.

Prioritisation, Agility & Organisational Effectiveness
* Effectively balance multiple competing priorities across brands, categories, countries, and stakeholders, making clear aligned decisions on resource allocation and focus.
* Operate successfully in a complex and fast-paced environment, ensuring the highest-value activities receive appropriate attention and support.
* Demonstrate strong judgement, resilience, and adaptability when navigating ambiguity, organisational change, and evolving business needs.
* Continuously identify opportunities to simplify processes, improve ways of working, and maximise the impact of medical resources across the cluster.

Scientific Leadership & External Engagement
* Represent Haleon as the senior medical and scientific leader within the cluster, building credibility and trust with healthcare professionals, scientific experts, key opinion leaders, and relevant external stakeholders.
* Lead the delivery of high-quality scientific exchange, medical education, and non-promotional stakeholder engagement activities aligned with Europe Medical priorities.
* Anticipate emerging scientific trends, competitive developments, reputational considerations, and healthcare opportunities, proactively informing cluster and Europe Medical strategy.

Governance, Risk Management & Compliance
* Champion a culture of scientific integrity, compliance, and ethical decision-making across all medical activities within the cluster.
* Ensure adherence to Haleon Medical Governance frameworks, regulatory requirements, and applicable policies and procedures.
* Proactively identify, assess, mitigate, and escalate medical, scientific, and compliance risks, ensuring appropriate governance and business continuity.
* Support inspections, audits, and compliance reviews, maintaining a high standard of operational excellence.

Evidence Excellence & Scientific Deployment
* Lead the deployment of evidence strategies, scientific narratives, claims frameworks, and approved medical content to support local market execution.
* Ensure the accurate, consistent, and compliant use of scientific evidence across all medical activities and stakeholder interactions.
* Partner with Europe Medical Evidence & Scientific Excellence colleagues to identify evidence gaps, generate actionable insights, and continuously strengthen the scientific foundation of Haleon's portfolio.

Cross-Functional Leadership & Influence
* Build strong partnerships across Medical, Regulatory, Safety, Commercial, Market Access, and other key functions to ensure a coordinated and aligned approach to business priorities.
* Translate European medical strategies and guidance into practical, impactful actions that can be effectively executed across diverse local markets.
* Act as the primary escalation point for cluster-specific opportunities and challenges requiring Europe-level support, alignment, or decision-making.

Requirements:

* Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences (Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacy or equivalent).
* Experience in Medical Affairs within OTC/consumer healthcare or other regulated environments.
* Experience in translating global or regional medical strategies into local execution.
* Experience in scientific engagement and collaboration with external stakeholders.
* Experience working in cross-functional and matrix environments, including people leadership.
* Ability to work within governance frameworks and compliance requirements.
* Ability to assess scientific information and support its application in business context.
* Fluent in English and Polish.

The salary range for this position is indicative and provided as a guide. The final offer may vary depending on factors including relevant experience, skills, qualifications, and internal equity considerations. Salary ranges may vary by location in line with local market conditions and applicable pay transparency regulations.
