Are you an experienced Pharmacist ready to take the next step in your career? We're seeking a Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) to provide pharmacy leadership while continuing to deliver exceptional, patient-centered care in the Metro Lexington, KY area.

📍 Location: Metro Lexington, KY

🌴 PTO: 3 weeks vacation

🕐 Pharmacy Hours
The pharmacy is currently operating on reduced hours due to staffing shortages:
* Monday-Friday: 9:00 AM-7:00 PM
* Saturday: 9:00 AM-3:00 PM
* Sunday: 9:00 AM-6:00 PM

📈 Anticipated Future Schedule
Future hours are expected to expand to:
* Monday-Friday: 8:00 AM-8:00 PM
* Weekends: 9:00 AM-6:00 PM

👔 Lead. Support. Make an Impact.
As the Pharmacist in Charge, you will help oversee daily pharmacy operations while ensuring compliance, medication safety, quality patient care, and a strong team environment.

Key Responsibilities:
* 💊 Oversee prescription review, verification, and dispensing
* 🛡️ Ensure compliance with Kentucky Board of Pharmacy regulations and applicable federal laws
* 👥 Supervise, support, and develop pharmacy technicians and interns
* 🗣️ Provide medication counseling and promote safe and effective medication use
* 🔎 Review prescriptions for appropriate dosing, interactions, and potential safety concerns
* 🤝 Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals
* 📦 Oversee medication inventory, ordering, storage, and controlled medication processes
* 💉 Administer immunizations and provide authorized clinical pharmacy services
* 📋 Maintain accurate pharmacy records and documentation
* ✅ Lead quality assurance, medication safety, and continuous improvement initiatives
* 🔐 Maintain patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance
* 📚 Ensure ongoing professional development and licensure requirements are maintained

🎓 Qualifications
* Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an accredited institution
* Active Kentucky Pharmacist License in good standing
* Qualifications necessary to serve as Pharmacist in Charge under applicable Kentucky requirements
* Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical care, drug therapy, and medication safety
* Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
* Ability to effectively lead a pharmacy team in a fast-paced environment
* Proficiency with pharmacy management systems and electronic health records
