Junior Buyer Chemicals (VIE)

This is a VIE contract

Key Responsibilities:

* Support market research activities to understand trends and supplier capabilities.

* Assist in implementing purchasing strategies defined by senior buyers.

* Help identify and maintain a list of qualified suppliers.

* Contribute to preparing and reviewing basic contract documents.

* Track and report on negotiation outcomes under guidance.

* Support contract deployment and monitor performance indicators.

* Collaborate with back-office and middle-office teams for smooth contract execution.

* Ensure timely supply of materials to ArcelorMittal European plants.

* Maintain regular communication with plants and suppliers to resolve operational issues.

* Work with internal teams and suppliers to identify cost-saving opportunities.

* Deploy the European Procurement Organization's Quality Management System policies within her/his respective area

Profile

* Master's degree (Engineering School/ Engineering School + Master in Purchasing)

* Specialized in Chemicals industry

* Minimum 2 years experience in Chemicals industry

* Microsoft Office Pack: advanced Excel user. Fluency in and taste for databases. SAP User.

* Fluent English is mandatory. Mastery of other language/s in use within the Company (French, German, Spanish, Dutch, Polish) would be a plus

* Reliable, rigorous, result oriented

* Team player

* Good communication skills

* Taste for working in a multi-cultural environment
