Your responsibilities

* You gain an overview over environmental markets, with a focus on the European emission trading system EU ETS.
* You support our team in the software development of fundamental market models and enhance the alignment between different market models.
* You advance the state of the art in the field of market modeling of environmental markets with a limited prediction horizon.
* You prepare data and conduct analyses on the role of environmental markets in Europe and how they contribute to achieve a decarbonized energy system.

Your profile

* Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or (Energy) Economics.
* Proficiency in Python (or at least one similar programming language), experience using GitHub and/or Databricks is a plus.
* Proactive mindset, strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Previous work or project experience in energy & market modelling is a plus.
* Ability to work from our Düsseldorf office location at least biweekly
