In the role as Health & Safety Manager in Global Health & Safety you will contribute to our purpose of Bringing People Closer. In your role as HS Manager for our 1,500-person global headquarters, you will promote a safe, compliant, and efficient environment across predominantly office workspaces and specialized laboratory settings. You will set the strategy and run day-to-day programs-risk assessments, lab and chemical safety, ergonomics, training, audits, incident response, and emergency preparedness-supporting the work environment organization and partnering with leaders and Facilities to ensure continuous improvement.

Your contribution is appreciated, and you will:
* Develop, implement and maintain the site H&S management system (policies, procedures, work instructions) aligned with Danish law, EU regulations and relevant standards (e.g., ISO 45001).
* Own and run the Workplace Assessment (APV) process: plan, facilitate, document and follow up on corrective/preventive actions.
* Perform and maintain risk assessments for office ergonomics, R&D activities, chemical handling, keep risk registers up to date.
* Manage chemical safety: ensure SDS management, labelling, safe storage, handling, substitution reviews, inventory control and compliance with REACH/CLP and waste disposal rules.
* Design and deliver H&S training (onboarding, lab safety, chemical safety, ergonomics, emergency response, manual handling, PPE).
* Manage incident/near miss investigation and root cause analysis; implement corrective/preventive actions and track closure.
* Coordinate emergency preparedness: fire, spill response, first aid, evacuation drills and business continuity input.
* Manage occupational health arrangements.
* Conduct internal audits and support external inspections (e.g., Arbejdstilsynet), prepare responses and remedial plans.
* Provide H&S input to projects (new equipment, lab refurbishments, facility changes).
* Manage contractor H&S on site: pre qualification, permits to work, supervision and audits.
* Manage, support and develop the local work environment/safety organization.
* Maintain H&S metrics, reporting and dashboards to leadership; prepare board/committee papers and present to Safety Committee.
* Work cross functionally with R&D, Facilities, P&O, Legal/Compliance and Operations to embed safety by design and behavioral safety initiatives.
To perform well in the role, we imagine that you have:
* A relevant higher education, e.g. occupational health and safety, engineering, environmental science, HR with H&S focus, or similar.
* Solid experience from a specialized Health & Safety role.
* Knowledge and direct experience of Danish working environment legislation (arbejdsmiljølovgivning) and guidelines from Arbejdstilsynet.
* Experience with:
* Risk assessments
* Incident/near-miss reporting and investigation
* Workplace assessments and safety inspections.
* Developing and implementing H&S policies and procedures.
* ISO 45001
* Stakeholder management and communication skills in Danish and English, written and spoken.
* Pragmatic and solution-oriented - able to balance compliance with practical business needs.
* A genuine interest being out in the business, talking with employees and leaders, and building a proactive safety culture.
