About this position
What you´ll do
* Assists in translating the production plan into a mid-long term Material Requirements Plan, ensuring material availability based on forecasts.
* Maintains MRP parameters, consolidates cross-category needs, and addresses MRP exceptions aligned with the production plan.
* Collaborates with suppliers to support Rough Cut Capacity Planning for material requirements, balancing cost and supply needs.
* Assists in material inventory analysis, reviewing policies, tracking slow-movers, and managing obsoletes.
* Maintains manufacturing parameters to support material planning efficiency.
* Identifies and escalates material sourcing risks or opportunities to relevant internal or external stakeholders.
* Supports continuous improvement initiatives to enhance material planning processes and performance.
* Ensures accurate material ordering in terms of quantity and timing, optimizing order size while minimizing obsoletes.
What makes you a good fit
* Bachelor or Master's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Management or Business Administration
* 1-2 years of experience as intern or employee in supply chain management
* Business fluent English and Spanish is required
* Good communication skills and ability to develop and maintain relationships at different levels of organization
* Ability to work in virtual environment
* Open-minded and flexible, ready for changes of planning portfolio
* Strong analytical skills
* Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (MS Excel in particular)
* Basic knowledge of MRP planning is an advantage
