This role offers a hybrid work arrangement (3 days remotely and 2 days in the office each week) for candidates within a commutable distance, as well as remote opportunities.

Training Schedule: Monday through Friday: 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. EST

Post-Training Schedule: Monday through Friday: 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. EST

In This Role, You Will

* Deliver an exceptional customer experience by providing service aligned with established standards and expectations

* Communicate clearly, concisely, and empathetically across phone and written interactions

* Identify customer needs and service opportunities, responding with urgency and care

* Demonstrate strong system discipline, including log-in management, availability, and time tracking to meet service levels

* Investigate, evaluate, and resolve low-complexity physical damage claims accurately and efficiently

* Utilize claims systems and tools to manage assigned caseload effectively

* Contact relevant parties to support accurate coverage and liability determinations and identify potential exposures

* Maintain timely, accurate claim documentation and diaries, meeting open and close targets

* Adhere to all internal claims handling guidelines and external regulatory requirements

* Participate in training and development to build technical knowledge and skills

* Use Guidewire (GW) claims systems for documentation, task management, and coverage verification

* Contribute to a positive, customer-first team environment by sharing knowledge and supporting team success

What You Bring to the Role

* 0-2 years of related experience, or an associate degree with 2-4 years of relevant experience; a bachelor's degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience is also preferred but not required

* Basic understanding (or ability to quickly learn) auto policy coverages and exclusions related to low-complexity claims

* Ability to identify claim types, liability indicators, and required documentation for proper handling

* Strong communication skills with the ability to demonstrate empathy and professionalism in all interactions

* Effective time management and organizational skills to manage caseload and meet productivity expectations

* Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate documentation

* Ability to recognize potential fraud indicators and escalate appropriate

* Comfort working with systems/technology, including claims platforms like Guidewire

* Proven reliability, accountability, and professionalism

* A positive, solutions-oriented mindset with strong teamwork and collaboration skills

* Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment

Pay Philosophy: The typical starting salary range for this role is determined by several factors including skills, experience, education, certifications, and location. Some roles at Mapfre are eligible for commission and/or bonus earnings, in addition to salary, calculated based upon factors set forth in the compensation plan for the role.

Pay Range $45,000 - $57,000 (non-exempt)
