About the role
We are looking for a proactive and hands-on Hygiene & QA Lead to drive hygiene, sanitation and quality assurance activities at our site.
In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that hygiene and sanitation practices meet Kerry Global standards, GFSI requirements, customer expectations and regulatory obligations. You will act as the site subject matter expert for hygiene and sanitation, while working closely with Operations, Quality, Engineering and external partners to embed strong food safety and quality practices across the plant.
The Hygiene & QA Lead plays a key role in maintaining a high standard of hygiene awareness on the shop floor and supports continuous improvement initiatives to protect product safety, quality and compliance.
Key responsibilities
* Lead and coordinate site hygiene and sanitation activities in line with Kerry Global, GFSI, customer and regulatory standards;
* Support the implementation and maintenance of hygiene, sanitation and QA procedures and programmes;
* Act as the site subject matter expert for hygiene, sanitation, hygienic zoning and hygienic design;
* Coordinate validation and verification activities for cleaning SOPs and sanitation programmes;
* Manage and coordinate third-party sanitation and pest control service providers;
* Support internal, customer and third-party audits and ensure timely and effective corrective actions;
* Support HACCP, allergen management and environmental monitoring programmes, including trend analysis and risk-based improvements;
* Promote a strong hygiene and food safety culture through visible shop-floor engagement, training and coaching.
What we are looking for
* Fluency in Dutch and English, both written and verbal;
* Experience in a food manufacturing environment, preferably within hygiene, sanitation or quality assurance;
* Good knowledge of GMP, GFSI standards, HACCP, allergen management and environmental pathogen control;
* Ability to analyse data, identify trends and translate insights into practical improvements;
* Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively across functions;
* A structured, disciplined and proactive approach with a strong food safety and quality mindset.
* Degree in Food Science or a related discipline;
* Food Safety Level 4 (or equivalent);
* Experience supporting hygienic design or CAPEX-related projects.
