Mercer Wealth is currently seeking a skilled and hands-on professional to join our Global Data Team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead the development of an advanced analytics platform that will revolutionize how our business teams utilize data analytics to drive growth and enhance operational efficiency. We are specifically looking for an experienced leader who can oversee the functional design and implementation of an Enterprise-level Data platform, transforming how our business users leverage data.

As part of this ambitious transformation effort, the Mercer Wealth Analytics Platform Leader will play a crucial role in driving the development of solutions that empower our business teams to perform sophisticated analysis. These solutions will support the growth and transformation of our organization, enabling us to stay ahead in a rapidly evolving industry.

This platform will address the growing need for predictive and descriptive data analysis, allowing us to provide valuable insights to our clients. Your role will involve creating data solutions that cater to various lines of business and asset classes, providing a comprehensive view of our clients' investments across Europe, the US, Canada, and the Pacific.

Mercer's OCIO AUM is nearly $500 billion and is primed for substantial growth as an investment solutions provider. The position will report to the Global Head of Investment Data and will have close collaboration with other senior leaders in the Global Data Team, Business Teams, as well as the Technology Team.

We will rely on you to:
* Lead the end-to-end development of a modern data platform, including data ingestion, storage, processing, and delivery.
* Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to understand their data analytics requirements and translate them into fit-for-purpose data solutions.
* Design scalable data pipelines to efficiently collect, store, and process large volumes of data.
* Develop robust data models that create a canonical view of Investment Data, supporting the breadth of investments for our clients and the needs of both the Advisory and OCIO lines of business.
* Implement data visualization techniques to provide "ready-to-use" data products that present analytical findings in a clear and compelling manner.
* Drive the development of self-service analytics data products for business teams, empowering them to make data-driven decisions.
* Work closely with technology teams to provide input into implementation approaches in an agile fashion, creating quick wins for the business teams.
* Stay up to date with the latest advancements in data engineering technologies and methodologies, collaborating with technology teams to implement solutions that improve the user experience and lower the total cost of ownership of the platform.
* Support the delivery of key data management initiatives through close collaboration with technology and business teams.
* Engage closely with key stakeholders and other Data Leaders to identify business requirements and develop solutions to improve stakeholder engagement.

What you need to have:
* Significant experience in developing and deploying analytics platforms and data products in the finance industry, such as at an Investment Manager, Custodian, or for a vendor providing buy-side solutions. CFA is a big plus.
* Strong familiarity with Data Management platforms such as Markit EDM and Eagle Pace
* Strong proficiency in SQL and some exposure to data manipulation and analysis tools such as Python, R, etc.
* Solid understanding of business analysis principles and the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
* Experience in data visualization tools and techniques, such as Tableau, Power BI, or Qlik, to effectively communicate insights to business stakeholders.
* Understanding of the data mesh concept and its application in designing scalable and decentralized data architectures.
* Familiarity with data governance principles and practices, including metadata management and data quality assurance.
* Experience dealing with a range of financial market-related data sets and asset classes.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with business stakeholders at all levels.
* Attention to detail and a proven track record in engaging with a variety of stakeholders to communicate complex issues in a simple and coherent manner.

What makes you stand out:
* Experience with data modeling, ETL processes, and database management systems, with a focus on supporting business needs.
* Functional understanding and familiarity with modern data platforms such as Databricks or Snowflake would be a big plus.
* Exposure to data manipulation and analysis tools such as Python, R, etc.
* Strong familiarity with Data Management platforms such as Markit EDM and Eagle Pace
