Software Development Engineer, Incident Prevention Analytics

Amazon's Intelligent Cloud Control (ICC) operates Amazon's global websites and makes sure they are available, resilient, and efficient.

Part of the ICC mission is to build mechanisms to automatically detect and recover from anomalies before they can manifest as public failures. The information we surface to our thousands of internal teams is timely and accurate to ensure mitigation is enacted as quickly as possible.

ICC helps Amazon service teams around the globe. We have solutions which process billions of data points each day, targeting to automatically detect anti-patterns and to ensure resilience best practices. We also ensure Peak Shopping Event Readiness across all of Amazons marketplaces. We work to detect issues before they are happening using GenAI / Machine Learning models. We build tools and models to analyze the tests teams perform on their services and highlight improvement opportunities.

Key job responsibilities
A developer on this team delivers mechanisms to provide resilience insights and to surface data relationships. We surface the right data to support our Org and customer service owners to drive up the reliability of their own services, so Amazons end-customers can have the best user experience possible no matter the issue.

In ICC, this team is a linchpin leading the overall Orgs data strategy. We take the lead in partnerships with other data teams in ICC, working together strategically to build data/GenAI infrastructure to speed up GenAI development with the required quality across the Org

Requerimientos del candidato/a:

- Experience (non-internship) in professional software development
- Experience designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language
- Experience with full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
