Our Commercial Pricing & Finance team plays a critical role in shaping pricing strategies, supporting product development, and ensuring strong financial performance in a regulated and competitive market. As our business continues to evolve, we are now hiring a Pricing Actuary - a key role responsible for developing and maintaining sustainable, competitive pricing frameworks while providing high-quality financial insight to support strategic decision-making. This is an exciting opportunity to influence product design, pricing strategy, and commercial performance within one of Ireland's leading healthcare providers. About the Role The Pricing Actuary is responsible for supporting and leading the development, maintenance, and governance of pricing for health insurance products. You will provide robust analysis and insight to support pricing decisions, product design, and business planning, ensuring that pricing remains competitive, compliant, and aligned with company strategy. This role requires strong analytical capability, commercial awareness, and the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for stakeholders. What You'll Be Doing Pricing & Product Development Develop, review, and maintain pricing structures for new and existing health insurance products. Ensure pricing strategies are sustainable, competitive, and aligned with company objectives. Support the design and financial assessment of product benefits, plan structures, and propositions. Analysis & Performance Monitoring Conduct annual and ad hoc premium reviews, including analysis of claims trends and cost drivers. Perform scenario modelling and sensitivity analysis to assess the impact of pricing and market changes. Monitor and explain actual versus expected performance and key financial metrics. Business Planning & Insight Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and business planning processes. Provide clear, insightful analysis to support management and senior leadership decision-making. Support regulatory submissions and ensure compliance with Health Insurance Authority (HIA) requirements. Continuous Improvement & Innovation Enhance pricing models, methodologies, and processes using best practice and new technologies. Identify opportunities to improve data utilisation and reporting capabilities. Contribute to the ongoing development of underwriting and analytical MI to support business insights. What You Bring Essential Bachelor's Degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Finance, or a related discipline. Qualified Actuary or working towards qualification (e.g. Society of Actuaries in Ireland or equivalent). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills. Commercial awareness and ability to translate complex data into insights. Desirable Experience in a pricing or benefit consulting role within insurance or healthcare. Knowledge of Irish health insurance regulations, including community rating and risk equalisation.
