The project:

This is an exciting opportunity to work as a health, safety and wellbeing (HSW) manager within a team delivering a multi-billion long-term programme of works to increase national prison capacity for the Ministry of Justice (MoJ).

You'll work on a national programme with focus on delivering projects using best practice and experience. The role will require confidence, leadership, and the ability to build lasting relationships. You will coordinate and work with a wide variety of disciplines across a range of delivery partner services which Mace consult provide to the MoJ. Project stages will vary from inception to post-completion.

Please Note: We are looking for someone based in the "East of England" region (no further north than Peterborough) to reduce travel-related costs, enhance productivity, and increase the team's ability to contribute to income growth on the Sector.

You'll be responsible for:
* Training delivery and support to meetings and comms session.
* Helping to improve our team's health and wellbeing and focus on staff safety when carrying out 'business as usual' activities.
* Client interaction for contract HSW responsibilities.
* Acting as an advisor in own area of expertise, to keep the business and projects abreast of new developments and apply professional standards to ensure best practice.
* Maintaining core areas of expertise and impart knowledge to aid the development, training and mentoring of others.
* Advising on and interpret project contractual and statutory requirements and obligations to protect the project's integrity.
* Creating, developing and maintaining an extensive range of internal/external relationships to maximise impact of expertise and knowledge to influence the quality of strategic decision making.
* Advising the client on the CDM Regulations (and other relevant regulations).
