What you'll be doing:Avon is in the middle of one of the most exciting transformations in our 140-year history. We're rolling out Shopify across 14 markets, centralising our digital commerce operation, and rebuilding how we show up online for a new generation of customers.
As part of this, we're creating a brand new role that reflects where search is actually going: Head of SEO & Generative Search.
This is a role that doesn't really exist in most organisations yet. We're looking for someone who understands that the future of organic discovery isn't just Google anymore. It's ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Claude and Google's AI Overviews. It's LLMs citing brands, zero-click answers, and entity-led content strategy. It's a space that's moving faster than anyone can write a textbook about.
Key responsibilities:
Lead Avon's organic search strategy across both traditional and generative engines as an integrated discipline. Own our visibility across search and AI, drive organic revenue contribution across 14 markets, and build our approach to AI-driven search in a genuinely emerging space. You'll also embed AI-first ways of working across the function - this is a role where you'll get to use AI tools daily and push the boundaries of what's possible.
Who we're looking for
Someone who's obsessed with where search is heading, not where it's been. You'll have deep technical SEO credentials and a real point of view on GEO. You'll be commercial (comfortable being measured on revenue, not rankings), hands-on with AI tools, and excited about building something from the ground up on Shopify across 14 markets.
