Let's introduce ourselves

Group Tax is part of Volvo Cars' Finance function and consists of 14 specialists based in Sweden, covering corporate income tax, VAT, social security contributions, and transfer pricing.

What you'll do

As a Tax Manager, you will take ownership of complex international tax matters and play a key role in shaping and safeguarding Volvo Cars' tax position globally. You will also act as a trusted advisor across the business and contribute to building tax awareness within the organization.

You will:
* Drive and manage GloBE / Pillar 2 related topics and implementation
* Pursue international tax issues towards tax authorities, courts and other local authorities, lead and administer tax audits and queries
* Monitor, track, and report on ongoing tax issues globally
* Ensure proactive management of international tax compliance obligations, including monitoring legislative developments and assessing business impact
* Support and participate in projects, ensuring correct tax structuring and handling
* Act as a sounding board for finance teams and international affiliates on tax matters, ensuring compliance with legal requirements
* Train and guide stakeholders across the organization on corporate income tax topics
* Prepare and review Swedish corporate income tax returns within the Volvo Cars Group
* Manage withholding tax reconciliations
* Handle MDR / DAC6 reporting

What you'll bring

You are a collaborative and business-oriented professional who combines strong technical expertise with a pragmatic mindset. You build trust across a wide stakeholder landscape and communicate complex topics clearly and with confidence.

You also bring:
* A university degree in Law or Economics
* Solid experience in corporate income tax for large companies, gained in a tax consultancy, audit firm, tax authority, or in-house tax function
* Strong knowledge of tax accounting and transfer pricing
* Good understanding of accounting, financial and business principles
* Fluency in Swedish and English (written and spoken)
* Advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint

In addition, you are structured, detail-oriented, and able to manage deadlines while maintaining high quality and compliance standards.
