Job Description

As a Food Service Assistant with Sodexo at RAF Brize Norton, Carterton, OX18 3LX. You'll play an important role in supporting military personnel on a Ministry of Defence (MOD) base. Your day-to-day interactions will directly impact the experience of those serving, ensuring they have a positive and efficient dining experience.

What You'll Do

* Develop your skills and complete any required training.
* Maintain excellent client and customer relationships.
* Keep work areas clean, tidy, and compliant with hygiene standards.
* Prepare and serve meals following recipes and portion guidelines.
* Operate the till accurately and follow cash handling procedures.
* Report any accidents, faults, or near misses to management.
* Ensure food is served at the correct temperature and presentation standards are met.
* Support with stock control, waste reduction, and general cleaning duties.
* Follow opening and closing procedures and maintain site security.
* Communicate effectively with colleagues, management, and clients.
* Carry out any other reasonable tasks as directed by management.

Essential

What You'll Need:

* Good verbal communication skills.
* Experience working in a similar role within the service industry.

Desirable

* Experience working within a military environment.
* Level 1 Food Safety, HSWA, and COSHH certificates.
