Your Role
Key responsibilities in your new role

* Algorithm Integration: Extend existing pin placement methodologies by integrating state-of-the-art optimization and reinforcement learning algorithms
* Algorithm Comparison and Investigation: Investigate and compare multiple algorithmic approaches including classical optimization methods, metaheuristic algorithms, reinforcement learning techniques, and hybrid approaches
* Metric Development: Develop evaluation metrics and objective functions that capture key physical design goals (wirelength, congestion, timing)
* Framework Development: Develop/extend an automated framework for intelligent pin assignment
* Performance Benchmarking: Benchmark the developed approaches against traditional pin placement methods
* Methodology Validation: Validate the methodology on industry-standard benchmarks and real-world designs

Your Profile
Qualifications and skills to help you succeed

* Study field: Pursuing master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Computer Engineering or similar
* Experience: Experience with digital design implementation tools such as OpenROAD, Cadence Innovus, Synopsys ICC2, or similar tools and experience with reinforcement learning frameworks
* Interests: Knowledge of physical design challenges (congestion overflow, timing closure, signal integrity) and background in machine learning for electronic design automation
* Personality:
* Self-motivated and independent: Ability to propose creative solutions and take ownership of research direction
* Proactive problem-solving: Initiative to identify challenges and develop novel approaches independently
* Language skills: Very good English skills, both written and spokenPlease attach the following documents to your application:
