The employees at the Mercedes-Benz plant in Hamburg develop, plan and produce in five core areas: Axles and axle components, steering columns, electric drives as well as exhaust technology components and lightweight structural parts. Pioneering technologies such as modern assembly techniques and the combination of hydroforming and plastic injection molding have been further developed at the site for series production.
You will be responsible for project management and production planning for control elements, specifically for the steering column product area. As part of your work, you will have the opportunity to get to know related specialist areas and interfaces.
The product field is broad and global. You will be involved in various product development phases. For example, you will be involved in the start of series production as well as in the development of innovative product and production concepts. Localization projects at worldwide locations are managed from the Hamburg plant and can be supported.
Your tasks will include
* Application of project management tools for scheduling, budget tracking and fulfillment of other project goals
* Collaboration with project managers and/or production planners
* Cooperation with international partners
* Support and supervision of technical product and process developments
* Supporting start-ups of new products in the production environment
* Collaboration on calculations and cost assessments
* Participation in value analyses and design discussions with customers and suppliers
* Cost tracking, business presentations, reporting, visualizations, etc.
* Support and participation in the quotation phases
* Project planning of new production systems and technologies
* Implementation of process optimizations in ongoing series production

Qualifikationen

* Degree in engineering or natural sciences, industrial engineering, mechatronics, mechanical engineering, vehicle construction, production/plant engineering or a comparable course of study
* Proficient in written and spoken German and English
* Confident use of PCs and Microsoft Office applications in particular
* Commitment, ability to work in a team, communication skills
* Own drive to take on new challenges every day, manual dexterity, ability to speak freely, e.g. in front of the project team
