The Video Coding Systems Research team at Nokia Technologies has a strong track record in developing and implementing compression algorithms and features for international standards.
More about the role: you will be part of a highly skilled multi-national team of experts in the field of video compression. Your responsibilities would comprise various tasks in development and testing of new video coding algorithms/system features/software for next generation video coding standards.
* Position: Video Coding - Working Student
* Location: Munich, Germany (hybrid)
* Education recommendation: Computer Science, Signal Processing or any other familiar major

* Implement new features, conduct computer simulations and evaluate the experimental results.
* Study and develop new video coding algorithms for next generation video coding standards.
* Analyze contributions presented at JVET standardization meetings

Requerimientos del candidato/a:

* Good knowledge of basic signal/image/video processing/compression.
* Proficiency in software development in C, C++, Python.
* Knowledge of current video coding standards, such as AVC, HEVC, and VVC
