What you'll build

The SAP Internship Experience Program is SAP's global, strategic, paid internship program that provides university students with opportunities to find purpose in their careers. This is more than an internship; it's the foundation for a career built on connection, creativity, and impact.

Position Title: SAP iXp Intern (f/m/d) - QA Automation Developer Support

Location: Walldorf, Germany

The Quality Assurance Intern (f/m/d) will support the continuous development, optimization, and maintenance of internal Microsoft Power Platform applications used within the Quality Assurance Service. The role focuses on enhancing the Procurator App (Quality Assurance & Automation) and the Contract Management App (CMM) to ensure efficient communication, process transparency, and high-quality validation workflows across SAP internal stakeholders.

The intern (f/m/d) will contribute to improving end-to-end QA processes, from request intake and requirement validation to milestone tracking and release communication, while supporting the transition towards Azure DevOps-based testing environments. A solid understanding of Quality Assurance processes and the ability to interpret and work with user stories is essential, as these are core to the continuous development of the applications.

Technical Tasks

* Develop, enhance, and maintain internal applications using Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI)

* Implement new features and resolve bugs within the Procurator App and Contract Management App

* Support integration and migration efforts towards Azure DevOps, including Test Plans and automation capabilities

* Support in Tricentis Tosca automation by executing and developing automated scripts

Process Expectations

* Demonstrate and apply a solid understanding of Quality Assurance processes, as the applications directly reflect and support the QA workflow.

* Read, interpret, and work with user stories and requirements provided by stakeholders, ensuring they are accurately translated into application features and process flows

* Collaborate with the QA Service Owner and stakeholders to optimize requirement intake, validation processes, milestone tracking, and release communication within the apps

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

* Student (f/m/d) at a university or a university of applied sciences

* Basic to intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI)

* Understanding of software development lifecycle and Quality Assurance processes, including the ability to understand and work with user stories

* Familiarity with Azure DevOps (including Test Plans) is a strong advantage

* Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

* Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic, global environment

* Outstanding communication skills. Excellent English written and oral communication skills

WORK EXPERIENCE

* First practical experience (internships, projects, or coursework) in software development, QA, or application development preferred

* Experience in working in a large organization with globally distributed personnel, functions and operations is a plus

* Software industry experience strongly preferred
