Compulsory internship in the field of e-motor process development from September 2024

Are you studying a STEM course and interested in a mandatory or combined internship with a strong connection to electromobility? Do you enjoy working at the interface between pre/development, production and quality?
Then an exciting field in the area of axial flux machines awaits you from March 2024.
We in the process development team for electric drives are part of the planning and production technology center for the drivetrain at the Untertürkheim site and represent the link between pre/development and series production. We provide the latest and most innovative manufacturing technologies in the production environment and ensure the maturity of revolutionary manufacturing processes through to series production. In addition to a wide range of manufacturing and metrological issues, our team also deals with advanced issues in the areas of development and quality. We also develop innovative manufacturing methods and processes for high-quality powertrain applications. As part of a technology project for future drive systems, we are looking for a mandatory intern to start as soon as possible with a focus on the further development of production technologies for axial flux machines.

Your tasks will include
* Literature research in the areas of electromagnetic manufacturing influences of electric drive technology, electromagnetic simulation, manufacturing technologies, etc.
* Familiarization with winding technology for electric motors
* Development and design of tools and process sequences
* Optimization of manufacturing influences on the electromagnetic behavior of winding systems
* Technology development for future winding topologies

Qualifikationen

* Degree course: Natural science, engineering, technical or a comparable degree course specializing in electrical engineering, electrical drive technology, electromobility, production technology, etc.
* Language skills: Confident written and spoken German and English skills
* IT skills: Confident handling of MS-Office, CAD, previous knowledge of electromagnetic simulation an advantage, programming skills in Matlab/Python/C an advantage
* Personal skills: Affinity for technology and enthusiasm for mobility, structured and goal-oriented way of working, analytical skills, committed way of working and strong teamwork skills, high level of communication skills
* Other: Class B driving license
