Overview

As an Intern Cost and Data Analyst, you will join the Resource Forecasting and Estimating team in Mississauga and contribute to data-driven decision-making through cost analysis, reporting, and resource planning activities. This opportunity offers hands-on exposure to business analytics, cost estimating, and project controls within a dynamic engineering environment.

Your role

* Support project staff in entering and maintaining resource demand data within resource management systems
* Prepare reports on staff availability and coordinate with Technical and Functional Managers to verify and update information
* Assist with the preparation of weekly reports using Excel and Power BI
* Analyze resource demand data to identify variances and support reporting on key trends and drivers
* Support cost analysts in the preparation of cost estimates and cost input data for projects and bids
* Prepare cost models for low-complexity and low-value bids
* Assist Business Analysts, Cost Analysts, and Management with ad hoc reporting and data analysis activities

About You

* Ability to work effectively with large volumes of numerical data and perform detailed analysis
* Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
* Aptitude for data analysis, reporting, and problem-solving
* Proficiency with Power BI is an asset
* Currently enrolled in a post-secondary Engineering, Business, Economics, or Mathematics program
