Overview

This internship is intended for University students from related major who will graduate between Sep 2026 and Aug 2027 and Internship Period: 12 weeks in summer of 2026 (Jun.~Aug.)

As a Solution Area Specialist Intern, you will uncover and qualify new leads while driving consumption with both new and existing customers. You will identify customer and market needs, orchestrating deals with multiple stakeholders and positioning Microsoft solutions effectively in the competitive landscape. As a Solution Area Specialist Intern, you will develop and manage pipelines for territory and forecast resource needs and meet with customers on site to deepen relationships and solution development.

As an Account Manager Intern, you will develop and oversee the execution of account plans for multiple accounts and works to ensure engagements yield high volume sales for both Microsoft and the customer that are on track with goals, budgets, and forecasts.you will cultivate relationships and use Microsoft sales strategies throughout multiple levels of the customer's organization to establish strong alignment on long-term goals and secure buy in and execution. You will understand customer drivers of digital transformation and leverages understanding to engage internal teams to accelerate the customer's digital transformation and strategy.

Responsibilities

Solution Area Specialist Intern

* Positions Microsoft solutions in competitive landscape through research and collaboration utilizing industry expertise to differentiate Microsoft solutions.

* Reaches out to peers and senior team members within the subsidiary to gain technical knowledge in a solution area.

* Learns how Microsoft's 3-cloud-platform can enable digital transformation areas. Supports team members on digital transformation opportunities in an assigned area by applying established processes and activities.

* Identifies market and customer needs and collaborates with internal teams to devise solutions to meet those needs.

* Develops and manages pipeline for territory and forecasts resource needs.

* Meets with customers on site to deepen relationships and solution development

Account Manager Intern

* Builds and maintains relationships with executives and business and technical decision makers at high levels of the customer's organization to establish trust and credibility in future interactions. Continues to build reputation with customers during interactions by being customer-focused, consistently honoring commitments, explaining technical concepts relevant to the customer, and connecting the customer to Microsoft executives.

* Manages and executes plans for multiple accounts to ensure Microsoft targets and customer business needs are met. Coordinates with specific account management teams on plan execution and drives accountability to deliver on account plans. Orchestrates extended team and embraces partners to scale business. Ensures sales consumption and adoption goals on target.

* Seeks customer feedback (both formal and informal) of assigned accounts to identify and understand the drivers of satisfaction and/or dissatisfaction. Leverages internal resources to support customer needs. Orchestrates others (e.g., Technical Account Managers [TAMs]) to anticipate issues/risks on customer satisfaction, determine the root cause of problems, remove blockers and establish recovery action plans as need to improve customers' overall experience. Proactively establishes agreement on success measures and manages execution on success measures to prevent need for recovery plans.

* Builds and maintains knowledge of Microsoft offerings, as well as of customer business priorities and basic industry trends to positively articulate the value of Microsoft's offerings in addressing the needs of the assigned accounts and evaluating their business. Coordinates with internal industry experts (e.g., industry solutions executives) to gather industry data of assigned accounts and improve planning.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

* Bachelor's/Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Security, or related field OR equivalent experience.

* Students graduate between 2026.9-2027.8.
* Internship Period: 12 weeks in summer of 2026 (Jun.~Aug.)

Preferred qualifications

Bachelor's/Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Security, or related field AND 1+ year(s) experience in technology-related sales or account management OR equivalent experience.
