Business & Management Internship at Casamona
A 360-degree Business Experience in the Heart of Barcelona
Position: Business Intern (Assistant to the Office Manager)
Duration: Minimum 3-12 months (Up to 6 months preferred)
Location: Barcelona, Spain
Overview of the Role
A Business Internship at Casamona is an immersive experience designed for individuals who aspire to start their own business or lead a company as a General Manager.
Because we are a small and agile international company, you are expected to be highly proactive. In this role, you act as the primary assistant to the Office Manager. You will always work alongside an Office Manager to support the daily engine that keeps Casamona running. You are not expected (or allowed) to carry out core management tasks alone; your role is to learn through constant collaboration and support.
Important: University & Educational Requirements
Please note that this position is exclusively for students currently enrolled in a university program.
Academic Credits: You can only join us if the internship is a formal part of your education and you receive ECTS points or university credit for it.
Education Plan: You must follow an individual education plan and update it weekly to ensure your learning objectives are being met.
Your Daily Responsibilities as an Assistant
As a Business Intern, you are responsible for supporting the operational flow of the office. You will always have an Office Manager by your side for guidance.
Support Tasks (Always with an Office Manager):
Opening and Closing: On your opening days, you arrive 15 minutes early to assist the Office Manager in preparing the office, making coffee, and ensuring the space is clean and welcoming.
Phone & Communication: You will help answer daily phone calls and manage the main inbox. All phone handling and client communication must be done with an Office Manager present for support.
Administration: Coordinating between teams, managing contracts in the Drive, and keeping keys in order.
Database & Team Support: Helping with "Flat Finds" (FF) and maintaining our database (Sooprema).
Evening/Weekend: Rotating the office phone and occasionally working 4–6 hours on a weekend (once a month) in exchange for a day off during the week. If you do you will get another time off.
What You Will Learn
Management & Leadership: How to coordinate a team and maintain office morale.
Interpersonal Skills: Negotiating and communicating with international clients.
Spanish Language: Intensive daily practice through phone calls (supported by an OM).
Business Operations: Hands-on experience in HR and Accounting.
Problem-Solving: Learning to find solutions in a fast-paced environment.
Job Requirements
Language: High level of both written and spoken Spanish and English.
Proactivity: A "can-do" attitude—you are a hands-on person who takes initiative.
Team Oriented: You must be prepared to work closely with the managers and support the agents.
Financial Support & Living Expenses
As this is an educational internship, we provide a stipend to help cover your daily costs while living in Barcelona:
Monthly Support: A fixed contribution of €200 per month to cover transportation and food expenses.
By Spanish law we can't pay interns salaries.
Working Hours & Flexibility-depending on your university's requirements.
General Schedule: 35 hours per week (excluding a 1-hour lunch break).
Shifts: Usually 09:00–18:00, but we can be flexible (8:00–16:00 or 11:00–19:00) depending on your university's requirements.
Insurance
Casamona provides liability insurance.
Interns are required to obtain their own accident insurance for their stay.

Requerimientos del candidato/a:
- High level of spoken and written Spanish, since you will be speaking in Spanish on a daily basis with clients and owners, as well as a good level of English. Any additional languages are a plus
- You must be organized, as you will be in charge of your own schedule
If you are an amazing photographer then you should remember to tell us.
- You will be involved in both the Sales and Rental process so you need to be client-oriented and represent good service at all times
- You need to answer possible phone calls and messages from clients on the weekends
- You will work a maximum of 40 hours a week
