Benefiting from the breadth of experience and resources of the broader Financial Restructuring Group, as well as its global footprint - including in Latin America, the Middle East, and Asia - Houlihan Lokey's Sovereign Advisory team draws on an exceptional platform to deliver best-in-class, tailored advice to clients across economic cycles. This close-knit, highly dedicated team is composed of experienced sovereign and quasi-sovereign debt specialists with decades of combined experience advising on some of the most complex and high-profile restructurings globally. These engagements include, among many others, and on both the creditor and debtor side: Garuda Indonesia, Argentina, PREPA (Puerto Rico), Ukraine, the City of Detroit bankruptcy, Malaysia Airlines, BTA Bank (Kazakhstan), and, most recently, Lebanon, where the team is advising the Ad Hoc Lebanon Bondholder Group in connection with the country's upcoming Eurobond restructuring.

Internship Specifications
We are currently seeking applicants for six-month internship positions based in Paris, starting as soon as possible, to support the fast-growing Sovereign Advisory team.

Scope and Responsibilities
Benefiting from the team's lean, flat structure, interns in the Sovereign Advisory team can expect to be entrusted with a meaningful degree of responsibility and to learn through close day-to-day collaboration with experienced bankers. Interns also gain substantial exposure to senior public- and private-sector stakeholders across the sovereign and quasi-sovereign landscape. Tasks and responsibilities may include, among others, preparing presentation materials, conducting macro-financial analyses and market updates, supporting analytical work and financial modelling (including debt sustainability analyses and restructuring models), carrying out general research in support of the team's advisory activities, and providing day-to-day operational and administrative support to the team in connection with ongoing mandates.
