Tesla is seeking an Intern Electrical Engineer to work as part of the Tesla motor technology team located in Athens, Greece, towards improving motor modeling accuracy, developing test plans and performing magnetic measurements.

What You'll Do

* Develop advanced MATLAB functions to model powertrain components
* Gain expertise in linear actuator design and modelling
* Conduct CAE structural analysis using FEM
* Understand the basic physics behind the operation of industrial thermal systems
* Develop advanced MATLAB functions to model motor performance
* Gain expertise in magnetic measurements and magnetic materials
* Gain expertise in motor design and iron loss modeling
* Obtain deep understanding of physics behind iron loss
* Understand the basic physics and electromagnetics behind the operation of electrical machines and gain experience in modelling the respective phenomena with high fidelity.

What You'll Bring

* MSc studies (ongoing) in Mechanical Engineering
* Strong mathematical and physics background
* Very good understanding of structural mechanics & thermodynamics
* Strong MATLAB programming skills
* Experience analyzing components using the Finite Element Method
* Fluency in English
