About the job

Are you interested in working in a team who directly engage with our suppliers to help them implement better agricultural practices? Does a global internship which seeks to transform our food systems by tackling an extensive and diverse range of sustainability issues excite you? Then become our next Regenerative Agriculture Data Intern based in Hoofddorp, NL, starting in February 2026. Interested? Apply now!

Food systems need to be transformed to be fit for the future. People are increasingly conscious of the environmental and social impacts of their food choices. In parallel, new scientific studies are defining "sustainable diets" that can provide healthy and nutritious food to the growing world population while respecting environmental limits.
In the fourth quarter of 2022, Danone submitted its 1.5C SBTi FLAG target and in January 2023, the company made a global commitment to align with the Global methane pledge and reduce by 30% its methane emissions from fresh milk used in its dairy products between 2020-2030. GHG monitoring, reporting and verification standards and processes are critical to be able to capture GHG emissions reductions. Alongside delivering on this critical climate agenda, Regenerative agriculture has a lead role to play in protecting and improving soil health, biodiversity, and water resources, while promoting animal welfare and supporting farming resilience and long-term profitability. It is a critical enabler to deliver on Danone Impact Journey. The Regenerative agriculture team is working in partnership with farmers and suppliers to transform our sourcing models towards regenerative agriculture and enable continuous improvement on sustainability.

In this role, you will be part of the Global Regenerative Agriculture team, with a strong focus on data management, analytics and insights generation related to dairy farming systems.

You will work with large datasets collected by local teams across multiple countries, containing farm-level information related to environmental, operational and regenerative agriculture performance.

Your main mission is to support global consolidation, quality control, analysis and reporting of datasets for dairy farming focused on carbon and methane performance, enabling the team to monitor performance, identify best practices, detect gaps, and support action plans with local/regional teams.

This role requires a strong analytical mindset, high level of attention to detail, and the ability to translate complex datasets into clear insights and recommendations.

So, what will be your key responsibilities?
* Support global and local teams with data collection guidelines, respect of timelines and clarification related to regenerative agriculture metrics in dairy farms.
* Perform data quality checks, validation and consolidation of large farm-level datasets collected across multiple countries.
* Analyze agricultural and farm performance data to identify trends, benchmarks, best performers and improvement opportunities.
* Develop structured analyses and reports using Excel and contribute to dashboards and visualizations in Power BI.
* Translate complex datasets into clear insights and actionable recommendations to support decision-making within the Regenerative Agriculture program.

You:
* Are currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, in the final phase of your studies, in a relevant field such as Engineering, Business, Agriculture, Agronomy, Environmental Sciences or related disciplines
* Have a strong analytical mindset and enjoy working with data to solve problems and generate insights
* Are comfortable with data consolidation and analysis and are proficient in Excel and Power Point; Power BI is a strong asset.
* Demonstrate strong attention to detail while being able to maintain a helicopter view and synthesize complex information.
* Have excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, and are confident interacting with multiple local and global teams.
* Are a team player, while also being able to work autonomously in a complex and international environment.
* Are a fast learner, proactive, and thrive in an environment where you are continuously challenged
* Have an interest in agriculture, sustainability or food systems; knowledge of dairy farming or agricultural practices is a plus, but not a requirement.
There are also some compulsory requirements:
* Enrolled as a Bachelor or Master student for the full internship period;
* You are a resident of the Netherlands and hold a valid BSN number (if you are a non-EU citizen, you need to have a valid Dutch residency permit);
* Ideally available to start in February 2026 for a minimum of 6 months, 4-5 days per week;
* You are fluent in English - spoken and written;
* You are able to work from our Hoofddorp office, at least 2 days per week
