Internship - Customer Loyalty Team (CLT) | ING Wholesale Banking

ING is looking for an enthusiastic Bachelor-level (HBO) student for an internship during the period September 2026 - February 2027.
During this 20-week internship, you will spend approximately 50% of your time working within a dynamic business environment, gaining hands-on experience across a broad range of banking products and services. The remaining 50% of your time will be dedicated to conducting research and writing your thesis based on an agreed academic and business-related topic.

Your Role
You will become part of a self-managing Customer Loyalty Team (CLT), which acts as the primary point of contact for listed companies and/or companies with an annual turnover exceeding EUR250 million. In other words, you will be supporting some of ING's largest and most prestigious corporate clients.
What Will You Do?
* Support the Account Managers within the Customer Loyalty Team.
* Assist in the implementation of commercial agreements made with clients.
* Maintain contact with both internal and external stakeholders and ensure agreements are executed accurately and efficiently.
* Contribute to the management, monitoring, and continuous improvement of the quality of both commercial and operational services.
* Conduct academic and practice-oriented research on a topic agreed upon with your educational institution and write your thesis based on your findings.

Your Working Environment
The Customer Loyalty Team is based in Amsterdam-Zuidoost and forms part of Corporate Clients & Products within ING Wholesale Banking.
As a CLT intern, you will work in a challenging and dynamic environment and become part of an entrepreneurial, experienced, and young team with an open and collaborative culture. The CLT provides an excellent opportunity to develop yourself professionally while gaining exposure to many aspects of the corporate banking industry.
Following a one-week onboarding programme, you will participate as a fully integrated member of the team and be encouraged to take ownership of your own development and responsibilities.
