About Us
Rivian and Volkswagen Group Technologies is a joint venture between two industry leaders with a clear vision for automotive's next chapter. From operating systems to zonal controllers to cloud and connectivity solutions, we're addressing the challenges of electric vehicles through technology that will set the standards for software-defined vehicles around the world.
The road to the future is uncharted. By combining our expertise across connectivity, AI, security and more, we'll map a new way forward. Working together, we'll create a future that's more connected, more intelligent, more sustainable for everyone.
Role Summary
Algo Serbia works on computer vision and edge AI in an embedded/automotive context. The team builds perception capabilities and supporting tools that run on resource-constrained hardware and integrate with production software stacks.
We focus on applied, product-adjacent work: improving existing vision modules, building evaluation and benchmarking pipelines, and exploring tightly scoped new features that can be handed off to full-time engineers.
Responsibilities
We're looking for Computer Vision Intern to help design, evaluate, and optimize vision models and tooling for edge deployment. This is a hands-on role: you will work with senior engineers on real code and data, with clearly defined tasks that tie into active team deliverables rather than a standalone research project.
Qualifications
Minumum Qualifications
* Candidates should be available for a full-time commitment from July 2026 through December 2026.
* Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Computer Engineering, or a related field

* Experience with at least one deep learning framework (PyTorch, TensorFlow, or similar).
* Comfortable working in a Linux development environment with git and command-line tools.
* Ability to design small experiments, analyze results, and communicate findings clearly in English.
Preferred Qualifications
* Solid foundation in machine learning and computer vision (e.g., CNNs, basic detection/segmentation or tracking concepts).
* Prior project or internship experience in computer vision (object detection, tracking, or video understanding).
* Exposure to edge or embedded AI (model optimization, quantization, or deployment on constrained devices).
* Experience building evaluation or data-processing tools (custom metrics, visualization, or error analysis).
* Contributions to research projects, open-source repositories, or competition entries in ML/CV.
