Pilot Plant Trainee (GRIT - GRaduate Industry Traineeship) [6-months]

Traineeship Description:

Pilot Plant is the trial facility of Reasearch & Development where project managers test out new ideas and processes before they are implemented on a larger scale. The facility enables the team to identify any potential issues and fine-tune the processes to ensure the best possible outcomes.

This placement will allow the trainee to apply routines of Ready-To-Drink Prototyping and Lab/kitchen Management. He/She will be exposed to how Pilot Plant Trials are done, managed, and optimized. This will also give the candidate the technical know-how of Manufacturing. He/She will also have the opportunity to collaborate with Project Managers and Project Developers; thereby increasing his competency on product/process technology.

Specific Responsibilities:

Implement the daily activities related to Pilot and Bench Scale Trial execution and management (e.g. Mini UHT processing, filling, can seaming/retort, 5S, good laboratory practices such as sample life cycle management, standardization and documentation, SHE standards).

During the first two months, the candidate will be paired with a designated technician buddy. Competency will be assessed and validated before the candidate is granted autonomy to carry out daily responsibilities independently.

Qualification:

Bachelor in Chemical Engineering/ Food Tech/ Mechanical Design & Manufacturing Engineering/ or Mechanical Engineering
