Description -
What a College Intern - Semiconductor Wafer Fab Engineering does at HP:
* Process Optimization: Collaborate with the wafer fab team to develop & optimize semiconductor manufacturing processes.
* Data Extraction: Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) machine-generated data into an external data system or database.
* Data Analysis: Utilize strong analytical skills to analyze manufacturing data and contribute to process improvement initiatives (SPC).
* Machine Communication: Knowledge of computer communication protocols is a plus; contribute to real time communication between machine and PC.
* Documentation: Maintain detailed records of experiments, observations, and results.

Individuals who do well in this role at HP, usually possess:
* Currently pursuing a degree in Chemical Engineering or Material Science.
* Able to commit for a 5-6 months full time internship, starting in May 2026.
* Strong analytical and data analysis skills.
* Familiarity with PC communication protocols is advantageous.
* Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C++ is a plus.
* Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
* Proactive attitude towards learning and problem-solving.
