The student, under the guidance of supervisor, will support further development ad demonstration of proof of concept of an AI assistant for automotive package R&D to support digitalization and automation of R&D processes for improved R&D efficiency.
The student will work with data scientist to develop the AI knowledge agent powered by LLM via API using smart hybrid RAG approach and agentic approach to support fast accurate retrieval and analysis of relevant R&D information based on user query in 3 different modes (fast, deep research and reporting), recommend best products based on domain knowledge/rules, auto-generate change/gap for development, identify and predict high risk items/failure modes and recommend countermeasures based on domain knowledge/similar failure root causes.
Your Role
Key responsibilities in your new role
* AI Engineering & Data Pipeline: Work as AI Engineer with data scientists to understand and streamline existing business workflows and dataset pipelines, integration, and context engineering to generate highly curated and high quality data products containing JSON chunks with relevant metadata and MD chunks for AI learning and reasoning.
* LLM & RAG System Design: Learn how to design and explore tech stack using LLM in RAG system for automotive package R&D processes and domain use cases & challenges/possible solutions.
* Agentic AI Development: Explore development of agentic AI concepts to improve business workflow processes and productivity.

Your Profile
Qualifications and skills to help you succeed
* Education: Bachelor's or Masters' in Computer Science, Data Science and AI.
* Technical Skills: Knowledge and experience in intermediate Python programming, LLM models, RAG using API, and agentic AI development.
* Soft Skills: Good communication skills, willingness to take on new challenges, creative thinking, and a team player mindset.
* Preferred Intake: Jan 27 - May/June 27.
