The Global Payment team of ByteDance provides payment solutions - including payment acquisitions, disbursements, transaction monitoring, payment method management, foreign exchange conversion, accounting, reconciliations, and so on to ensure that our users have a smooth and secure payment experience on ByteDance platforms including TikTok. We are looking for talented individuals to join us for an internship in 2026. Internships at our Company aim to offer students industry exposure and hands-on experience. Successful candidates must be able to commit to either of the following Internships - From January to June (onboard by 12 Jan 2026) - From May to August (onboard by 11 May 2026) We are seeking a mission-driven and analytically-minded intern. Your primary focus will be on improving the core metrics that build trust and drive growth. You will dive deep into our operational data to identify levers for improvement, coordinate with cross-functional teams to implement changes, and measure the impact of those changes on our customers' confidence. This is a role for a future strategist and operator. 1. Core Metrics Analysis & Improvement - Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) such as Adoption rate, Penetration rate, Claim Rate, Claim Resolution Time, Customer Trust Score, "Buy" Click Conversion Lift, and Seller Retention. - Identify the root causes of friction in our protection and insurance processes and propose data-backed solutions for improvement. - Design and analyze A/B tests or other experiments to validate hypotheses for improving customer experience and operational efficiency. 2. Conversion Rate Optimization - Conduct A/B tests on the presentation of our protection services (e.g., messaging, badges, placement) and measure their direct impact on sales conversion and average order value. 3. Seller Acquisition & Retention - Analyze how the usage of our services correlates with seller health metrics (e.g., repeat business, store growth). Develop insights to help the Sales and Onboarding teams sell the growth benefits, not just the risk mitigation. 4. Frictionless Experience & Automation - Map the user journey to file a claim. Identify drop-off points and collaborate with Product and Engineering to streamline the process, turning a negative experience into a moment of delight and trust-building. 5. Internal Coordination & Project Management - Act as a central coordinator between Business, Product, Data Science, Risk, and Customer Service teams to drive metric improvement projects. - Facilitate daily or weekly sync-ups to track progress, remove blockers, and ensure alignment on key initiatives. - Prepare bilingual briefs and performance reports to communicate insights and recommendations to stakeholders. 6. Operational Excellence - Monitor daily operational performance against key metrics, flagging anomalies and opportunities. - Assist in streamlining and documenting processes for claims handling and risk assessment. - Develop a deep understanding of how our three pillars (Item Protection, Logistics Insurance, Liability Insurance) work together to create a seamless trust environment
Requerimientos del candidato/a:
Minimum Qualifications - Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Economics, Analytics, Operations, or a related field. - Proficiency in English and Chinese (Mandarin) is required to collaborate with global partners and key stakeholders based in Mandarin-speaking markets where Mandarin is a primary working language - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; proficient in Excel and basic data analysis. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a talent for coordinating between different teams. - Intellectually curious, proactive, and passionate about using data to build customer trust. Preferred Qualifications - Experience with SQL or a willingness to learn quickly. - Interest in e-commerce, fintech, InsurTech, or trust and safety platforms. - Basic understanding of A/B testing and statistical concepts.
