Context At the Expertise Center Market Analysis, our mission is to deliver fundamental analysis and economic research on energy markets that directly support trading and portfolio management decisions. Positioned at the crossroads of quantitative analysis and data science, our team is made up of multidisciplinary experts who combine a deep understanding of energy markets with robust quantitative and modeling skills. The Short Term Power Market covers day-ahead, intraday, and balancing markets where supply and demand can change rapidly. Your Mission Join our Short Term Power Analysis Team in Brussels, where you'll work closely with traders and portfolio managers to support market operations in Central Western Europe. In this role, you will: * Monitor power markets and analyze short-term supply/demand fundamentals across both ancillary and wholesale markets. * Provide critical data analytics and risk analysis to inform market decisions. * Assist the Short-Term Trading desk with price forecasts, trading signals, and strategy development. * Collaborate with cross-functional teams to co-develop market insights and optimize decision-making in real time. This is an excellent opportunity for someone eager to kickstart their career in energy markets while contributing to innovative trading strategies

Profil requis du candidat:

What we are looking for Hard Skills: * Solid understanding of the energy business and power markets. * Advanced analytical and programming skills in Python. * Experience in building models and applying data science/machine learning techniques. * Familiarity with cloud-based tools (e.g., AWS) or visualization/dashboard tools is a plus. Soft Skills: * Adaptable and eager to grow in an agile, ever-changing environment. * Curious, dynamic, and highly professional. * Practical thinker with the ability to work autonomously and take initiative. * Excellent communicator, capable of conveying complex ideas clearly. * Team player who thrives on challenges and continuous learning. Education and Background: * Master's degree (BAC +5) in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Finance, Statistics, or Data Science. Languages: * Fluent in English. Why join us?
