ETF Capital Markets Specialist (f/m/d)

The role sits within Product Development, the function responsible for the end-to-end development of Active Exchange Traded Funds (Active ETFs) at Allianz Global Investors. Product Development plays a central role in shaping the Active ETF platform, covering product design, structuring, launch readiness and the ongoing evolution of the range.

With the launch of AllianzGI's Active ETF (AETF) platform, Product Development has assumed responsibility for Capital Market activities related to Active ETFs. Capital Markets is a strategic pillar of the Active ETF operating model, ensuring that products are tradable, liquid and efficiently priced, and that distribution teams and clients are supported with clear guidance on liquidity, execution, and market functioning.

This role offers a rare opportunity to help build and scale critical capability within AllianzGI's Active ETF Platform. You will play a foundational role in developing in-house expertise, processes, and market intelligence.

The position is intentionally build-out orientated. While starting with hands-on execution and close collaboration across teams, the role is designed to grow in scope, influence, and responsibility as in-house capital markets capabilities mature. The objective is to setup Capital Markets responsibilities and establish them as a core, scalable capability within Product Development, closely connected to Distribution, Trading and Operations.

What you do

Client & Sales Support
* Consult with internal sales teams to provide execution guidance (best execution)
* Support Distribution with liquidity analytics, client education, investment support
* Ensure structured reporting for Distribution and management in terms of flows across different regions/channels/clients but also spreads across different liquidity providers

Relationship Management
* Monitor Authorized Participants/Market Makers setup and exchange relationships
* Act as primary point of contact between AllianzGI, third party providers and external investment banks (ETFs liquidity providers)

Market Quality Monitoring
* Participate in market monitoring, iNAV oversight, and PCF/NAV check processes
* Oversee daily trading health by monitoring bid-ask spreads, trading volumes, and premiums/discounts
* Use intraday surveillance tools to identify and resolve execution issues or pricing discrepancies

Primary Market Operations
* Facilitate the creation and redemption process
* Oversee seed capital investing for new fund launches

Build out
* Build and shape the Capital Markets function for Active ETFs within Product Development, supporting the establishment of a scalable, robust, and fully integrated Capital Markets capability at AllianzGI
* Support and progressively take ownership of Capital Markets activities for Active ETFs, including primary and secondary market considerations, liquidity monitoring, spread behavior, and execution-related topics
* Develop internal processes, documentation and know-how for Capital Markets activities related to Active ETFs, supporting the transition to an in-house operating model

What you bring

* Strong communication and coordination skills across Investments, Distribution, Operations, and external partners
* Entrepreneurial, curious, and comfortable operating in a role that will evolve over time
* Strong experience with ETF market structure, AP/MM ecosystem, and primary/secondary market processes
* Analytical skills for liquidity analysis and reporting
* Ability to support client-facing teams and contribute to educational materials
* Experience in Capital Markets (mandatory), and Product Development/Product Management or Trading (preferred)
* Experience with leading financial data providers Bloomberg, LSEG Workspace etc.
* Language: English, German (both mandatory); Italian is a plus
* AI Model Deployment, Data Analytics, Microsoft CoPilot.
