Description du poste:
At Roche you can show up as yourself, embraced for the unique qualities you bring. Our culture encourages personal expression, open dialogue, and genuine connections, where you are valued, accepted and respected for who you are, allowing you to thrive both personally and professionally. This is how we aim to prevent, stop and cure diseases and ensure everyone has access to healthcare today and for generations to come. Join Roche, where every voice matters.
The Position
At Roche Diagnostics, our Health Policy team is dedicated to cultivating thought leadership and driving vital policy changes to improve global diagnostic access.
We are seeking a Geopolitics and Trade Policy Manager to navigate the complex, rapidly evolving geopolitical landscape; a context defined not by black and white, but by a thousand shades of grey. In this global role, you will analyze international frameworks, monitor trade dynamics, and engage with key external stakeholders to ensure Roche's freedom to operate and support healthcare delivery to patients.
The Opportunity
In this role, you will serve as a core analytical and networking anchor for our global diagnostic policy strategy. Your key responsibilities will include:
* Monitoring & Data Mining: Conduct deep desk research and data mining to track shifting trade dynamics, tariffs, and geopolitical events.
* Shaping Policy Positions: Translate complex legal and geopolitical intelligence into clear global diagnostic policy positions and advocacy content.
* EU Institutional Engagement: Build strong, off-the-record connections within the "Brussels bubble" and closely monitor EU institutions to anticipate regulatory impacts.
* Optimizing Business Efficiency: Address requirements for new or revised policy initiatives to ensure current market dynamics and positions are accurately reflected.
* Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with regional and affiliate policy functions to leverage collective capabilities and break down organizational silos.
Who You Are
You are a highly curious, adaptable, and resilient professional who thrives in ambiguity and is eager to build strong business acumen in the diagnostics market.
To excel in this role, you bring:
* A degree in International Trade Law is highly preferred (or a Bachelor's/Advanced degree in International Relations, Public Policy, or Economics).
* Proven professional experience in international trade law, with a strong ability to easily read, interpret, and analyze complex legal texts.
* Exceptional skills in desk research, intelligence gathering, and data mining, with a sharp attention to detail.
* A natural ability to navigate political environments, connect with institutional stakeholders, and confidently communicate complex business cases.
* Fluency in English alongside a European language, an open and agile mindset, and the absolute willingness to travel globally (with a strong focus on Brussels).
