JOB DESCRIPTION:
We are currently looking for an Associate Clinical Data Manager to join our team based in Belgium.
In this role, you will be responsible for leading data review and risk-based data quality activities across assigned clinical studies. You will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of clinical trial data to support regulatory submissions, safety monitoring, scientific publications, and business decisions.
You will collaborate closely with cross-functional study teams and contribute to the successful delivery of high-quality clinical research in accordance with Good Clinical Practice (GCP), Good Clinical Data Management Practices (GCDMP), and Abbott's quality standards.
What You'll Do
* Lead risk-based data management and review activities for assigned clinical studies, ensuring the quality, integrity, and reliability of study data.
* Partner with cross-functional teams during protocol development to identify critical study data and establish effective data collection and management strategies.
* Drive the development and maintenance of study data management deliverables, including Case Report Forms (CRFs), edit checks, data listings, and clinical database specifications.
* Review and analyze clinical trial data, managing data discrepancies, query resolution, and the identification and escalation of significant data quality issues.
* Collaborate with Clinical Operations, Clinical Science, Safety, Biometrics, Project Management, and study sites to proactively resolve data-related risks and support study execution.
* Manage study progress toward data cleaning, database freeze, and database lock milestones to support regulatory submissions and other key business objectives.
* Oversee study-wide data quality activities and ensure adherence to GCP, GCDMP, regulatory requirements, and internal standards.
* Act as a trusted data management partner, providing insights and recommendations that support high-quality study conduct and successful clinical outcomes.
What You'll Bring
* Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Healthcare, Data Management, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
* Experience in Clinical Data Management within clinical research, clinical operations, healthcare, or a related environment.
* Knowledge of Good Clinical Practice (GCP), clinical trial processes, and data quality principles.
* Experience working with electronic data capture (EDC) systems and clinical databases.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex clinical data and identify trends or risks.
* Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliverables in a fast-paced environment.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional and global teams.
* Experience supporting medical device clinical studies and familiarity with risk-based quality management practices is preferred.
