The HSE (Health, Safety, and Environmental) Site Manager - Headquarters is responsible for leading, implementing, and ensuring excellence in Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) management at Sanofi's Headquarters facilities in Brazil. The professional will act as the technical reference for occupational safety at the site, concurrently performing the duties of a TST (Safety Technician - Técnico em Segurança do Trabalho) as required by current legislation, and will serve as the link between Sanofi's global HSE guidelines and local operations.

Main Responsibilities:

*

Ensure full occupational safety, health, and environmental compliance, exercising the legal duties of Safety Technician in accordance with Brazilian NRs (including NR-4, NR-5, NR-6, NR-10, NR-33, NR-35), environmental legislation, and Sanofi standards, with active MTE registration.

*

Identify, assess, and control occupational risks, maintaining legally required programs such as PGR, PCMSO, SESMT, and CIPA, and leading inspections, audits, and corrective actions.

*

Lead risk prevention and safety programs, including PPE/CPE management, high-risk activity supervision, contractor compliance, and mandatory safety training for employees and service providers.

*

Manage environmental and occupational health programs, including waste management (PGRSS), sustainability initiatives, health indicators, and environmental impact reduction aligned with Sanofi's global commitments.

*

Oversee incident, accident, and emergency management, including emergency response plans (ERP), crisis leadership, accident investigations, root cause analysis, and continuous risk prevention.

*

Maintain governance, documentation, and reporting, ensuring audit readiness, regulatory permits, licenses, and accurate HSE KPIs and reports for local and global leadership.

*

Act as the local HSE interface with global teams, implementing global policies, reporting in corporate systems, participating in regional/global HSE networks, and communicating effectively in English.

About You

The selected candidate will simultaneously perform the functions of HSE Site Manager and Safety Technician, making compliance with the requirements below mandatory.

*

Active registration with the MTE (Ministry of Labor and Employment) as a Safety Technician, fully compliant with NR-4, with legal responsibility for site HSE activities.

*

Recognized Technical Course in Occupational Safety (MEC-approved), enabling legal practice as a TST (Safety Technician) in Brazil.

*

Bachelor's degree in Engineering (any field), Chemistry, Pharmacy, Business Administration, or a related area.

*

Minimum of 5 years of hands-on HSE experience, including direct execution of Safety Technician duties, not limited to coordination or supervision.

*

Strong working knowledge and practical application of Brazilian Regulatory Standards (NRs), including NR-1, NR-4, NR-5, NR-6, NR-9, NR-10, NR-17 (ergonomics and occupational hygiene), NR-23, NR-33, and NR-35.

*

Proven experience developing, executing, and maintaining mandatory HSE and OSH programs and documentation, including PGR, PCMSO, SESMT, CIPA, PPP, LTCAT, audits, inspections, accident investigations (RCA, 5 Whys, Ishikawa), emergency response plans (ERP), and HSE performance indicators (frequency rate, severity rate, near misses).

Active registration with MTE as Safety Technician (mandatory)

*

Hands-on execution of HSE / Safety Technician duties (mandatory)

*

Advanced or fluent English, with proven ability to:

Communicate technical HSE topics, prepare and review reports, procedures, and presentations

*

Participate in international meetings - Interact effectively with regional and global Sanofi teams

Desired Requirements
* Postgraduate degree or MBA in Occupational Safety Engineering, HSE (Health, Safety, and Environmental) Management, Environment, or related areas
* Certification in ISO 45001 (International Organization for Standardization - Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems) and/or ISO 14001 (Environmental Management Systems)
* Previous experience in pharmaceutical, chemical, or healthcare industry
* Knowledge of OHSAS 18001 (Occupational Health and Safety Assessment Series) and transition to ISO 45001
* Experience with risk analysis tools (FMEA - Failure Mode and Effects Analysis, PHA - Preliminary Hazard Analysis, HAZOP - Hazard and Operability Study)
* Familiarity with corporate HSE management systems
* Intermediate Spanish
