CATEGORY OPERATIONS SPECIALIST - PERFORMANCE & REPORTING
Leveraging data, Power BI, and AI-enabled tools to support data-driven decisions across Category Management.
Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization
This role plays a key part in enabling strong category performance by supporting the Category Management team with data, reporting, and actionable insights across sell-in, sell-out, campaigns, and in-season execution.
You will work at the intersection of business, data, and digital tools, using analytics, and increasingly AI-enabled capabilities, to improve visibility, speed, and quality of decision-making, while maintaining strong business judgment and ownership of insights.
Key Responsibilities
Category & Business Management
*
Act as a key analytical partner for the Category Management team, supporting business decisions with clear, structured insights.
* Support briefing processes with local insights to the CTC (Concept To Consumer) and Business Unit (BU) CTC teams on required articles, specific retailer needs (e.g. SMUs), and key volume/image-driving opportunities.
* Analyze local market trends, forecast and business opportunities as the category expert to maximize the category's potential within the country.
* Track and analyze sell-in and sell-out performance across channels, identifying opportunities, risks, and corrective actions.
* Deliver scenario analysis to support decision-making for ongoing performance tracking and action alignment.
* Provide scenario analysis and performance updates to support ongoing decision-making and actively participate in 90-60-30 marketing meetings.
Campaigns & Big Tickets
* Build seasonal campaign foundations, including product SKUs, purchase volumes per channel, and any necessary launch date adjustments.
* Develop and maintain the seasonal Brand Calendar, highlighting key campaigns and their support tactics.
* Track big ticket items in Excel, evaluating sell-out vs. purchase volume performance.
* Provide visibility and updates on campaign arrivals and delays through participation in SMAL meetings.
* Communicate product license expirations and adjust launch planning accordingly.Activation & Ecommerce
* Participate in weekly 90-60-30 activation meetings with campaign KPIs, product visibility, and volume updates.
* Evaluate ecommerce assortments monthly, ensuring campaign items are unlocked per RID.
* Build exclusion lists for global/commercial events (e.g. Friends & Family, Cyber events) and employee discounts.
* Manage image submission for SKUs lacking visual assets on ecommerce platforms.
Cell & Segmenta Meetings
* Build monthly category presentations covering campaign planning, KPIs, sell-through performance, and sales growth opportunities.
* Consolidate and analyze DTC data monthly; interpret market share, YOY growth, and product performance to share with Segmenta.
Sell-Out Reporting
* Consolidate and send weekly sell-out reports using Power BI, providing campaign performance, big ticket updates, and slow mover insights.
* Maintain Power BI datasets: article master data, channel/door details, and market information.
* Leverage AI-enabled features (e.g. Copilot in Power BI / Excel) to accelerate reporting, generate first-draft performance summaries, and support insight generation, while critically validating and contextualizing outputs.
In-Season Discounts & Projects
* Create monthly discount files per channel, evaluating KPIs like stock, sell-through, weeks of coverage, and new arrivals.
* Coordinate seasonal kick-off presentations, involving all relevant teams and areas.
* Collaborate on in-season projects such as ecosystem mapping and NOOS (Never Out of Stock) initiatives.

Requisite Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Minimum Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Marketing, Analytics, or a related field.
* 2-4 years of experience in category management, commercial analysis, business analytics, or similar roles, ideally in retail or consumer goods.
* Strong analytical skills with advanced Excel and experience working with Power BI dashboards and datasets.
* Ability to translate data into clear insights and business recommendations.
* Curiosity and openness to using AI-enabled tools to enhance efficiency and insight generation, combined with the critical thinking needed to validate outputs.
* Excellent communication skills and confidence working with cross-functional stakeholders.
* Structured, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing recurring reporting rhythms.
* Fluency in English and Spanish (written and spoken).
