Junior After Effects & Motion Graphics Artist

Onionlab is a multidisciplinary studio specialized in the direction and production of audiovisual installations and exhibitions for the creative industries. Based in Barcelona, we work internationally on projects that combine technology, narrative and spatial design, including projection mapping, immersive installations, VR experiences and experimental digital content.
We are looking for a Junior After Effects & Motion Graphics Artist to join our in-house team in Barcelona. This is a full-time, on-site position with an immediate start, aimed at a junior profile eager to learn and grow within a professional production environment.
The selected candidate will support the creation of motion graphics and animated content for immersive installations and audiovisual projects. You will work closely with senior artists and creative leads, contributing to different stages of the production process while developing your technical and creative skills.
Main responsibilities:
-Support the motion graphics and animation pipeline
-Create and animate 2D motion graphics using After Effects
-Assist in compositing and animation tasks under supervision
-Adapt visual content to predefined formats and technical requirements
-Implement feedback and make revisions efficiently
-Collaborate with the team to meet production deadlines
Requirements:
-Junior profile with training or initial professional experience in motion graphics
-Basic to intermediate knowledge of Adobe After Effects
-Understanding of animation fundamentals (timing, easing, keyframes)
-Basic compositing skills
-Ability to follow creative direction and technical guidelines
-Willingness to learn and grow in a studio environment
-Based in Barcelona and available to work on-site
Nice to have:
Basic knowledge of After Effects plugins
Interest in immersive installations and audiovisual projects
Familiarity with other Adobe tools (Illustrator, Photoshop)
