At Grand Hyatt Barcelona, one of the city's newest luxury landmarks, we are looking for a detail-oriented, reliable, and service-driven Room Service Waiter (In-Room Dining Server) to join our Food & Beverage team on a full-time, shot-term contract for 3 months (40 hours per week).

About the Role

As a Room Service Waiter (In-Room Dining Server) at Grand Hyatt Barcelona, you play a key role in delivering exceptional guest experiences by providing efficient, courteous, and personalized in-room dining service in line with Hyatt standards.
This is an operational full-time position (40 hours per week) offered on a short-term contract of 3 months, with rotating shifts according to hotel needs, including weekends and public holidays. You will work closely with the Food & Beverage and Kitchen teams, contributing to daily hotel operations and a positive, collaborative work environment.

Key Responsibilities

The Room Service Waiter is responsible for delivering food and beverage orders to guest rooms while ensuring the highest standards of presentation, hygiene, and service. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* Taking and processing guest in-room dining orders accurately and efficiently
* Setting up trays and trolleys according to Hyatt presentation standards
* Delivering food and beverages promptly to guest rooms
* Explaining menu items and responding to guest requests professionally
* Ensuring all orders are complete, correct, and presented to brand standards
* Clearing trays and trolleys from guest rooms and corridors in a timely manner
* Maintaining cleanliness and organization of the room service area and equipment
* Coordinating with the kitchen and other departments to ensure smooth service
* Handling guest enquiries, requests, and complaints courteously and efficiently
* Processing payments and ensuring correct billing procedures
* Reporting any guest feedback or service issues to supervisors
* Ensuring compliance with hygiene, health, and safety standards
* Safeguarding hotel equipment and maintaining proper use of service tools
* Greeting guests promptly and courteously in line with Hyatt service culture
* Assisting with minibar or additional food & beverage duties when required
* Performing other duties as assigned by management

Qualifications - External

Qualifications & Requirements

* Previous experience in a similar Food & Beverage or hospitality role is a plus, but not mandatory
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks
* Service-oriented attitude with a positive and proactive approach
* Attention to detail and commitment to quality service
* Physical capacity to carry trays/trolleys and perform an active role
* Basic communication skills in Spanish (English is a plus)
* Commitment to teamwork, integrity, and delivering exceptional service

Qualifications & Requirements

* Previous experience as a Waiter/Waitress or in Food & Beverage service, ideally in room service, hotel dining, or luxury hospitality environments (preferred)
* Strong service mindset with a genuine passion for guest satisfaction and personalized service
* Good communication skills and a friendly, professional, and approachable personality
* Fluency in Spanish and English is required; additional languages are a plus
* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple in-room dining requests efficiently
* Team-player attitude, respectful and supportive toward colleagues and guests
* Professional appearance and compliance with Hyatt grooming and uniform standards
* Physical ability to carry trays, push trolleys, and perform an active role
* Reliability, punctuality, and flexibility to work rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays
* Availability to work for the full contract period
